Initially thick and sweet you are soon met with strong berried flavours backed up by oak driven Caramel. Hints of tobacco and dark chocolate and to the detail.
###
A remarkable product with a remarkable story. The liquid to be found within dates back to 1970 when the 300 year old Naval tradition of Rum rations ended. Stocks remained stored away and largely forgotten until 2007 when the remaining flagons became available. The highly limited bottling comes directly from these. If you want to present a bottle of Rum with a story then this is about as good as it gets.
