Piedra was Patron’s first ever extra añejo Tequila initially released for travel retail in 2013. Produced from 100% Blue Weber agave, grown in the Jalisco highlands, which is crushed in the traditional Tahona process. Aged for three years in a combination of new American and French oak, this is an exceptional example of aged Tequila.
###
Patron Tequila, like many of their peers, hails from finest growing region in Mexico, high in the mountains of Jalisco. The region has the perfect soil and climate which allows a perfect balance of sugar and acid in the Weber Tequilana Blue Agave plant. Patron take matters a step further siting an eye for detail being at the source of everything that they do- whether that be hand chopping the Agave plant to reveal its Pina (heart) or the slow 3 day distillation of its the plants juice or indeed ageing their Tequila in hand made barrels only.
